How To Use Tracking Data

Where do juvenile and sub-adult bald eagles fledged in Arizona migrate to? To find out, plot the known locations of a few bald eagles that were fitted with satellite transmitters.

Access the transmitter data by clicking on the 'Migration Tracking Data' link for the eagle that you wish to track. The data listed will provide you with the date and location (latitude and longitude) that the transmitter data was received. Plot the locations on Google Earth to see the migration path of the individual eagle. Once you have created your map, double check it against our overall map for the eagle (see 'Migration Map' link).
